June - September - Burke Mtn Ski Resort sponsors its music series. A limited seating, small venue with good music that ends in September with the 2nd annual Burke Mtn Music Festival. Check their schedule of musicians coming to the area and book now. Dates for the music festival have just been announced. Burke's Tamarack Grill is an easy 25 minute drive from the house.

Come cycle the Kingdom! June through September two experienced guides from Kingdom Cycle Tours will show you the best roads and sights and make sure you have all the right equipment and support needed for a great time. Cycling packages are available for two to seven nights with cycling each day.  Staying at the Estabrook House in St. J affords you the perfect start and end location to experience cycling. A great spot to relax or walk to area activities, movies, or restaurants.  We have partnered with Kingdom Cycle Tours and  friends in the B&B Association to also B&B hop around the Kingdom. Do you have your own equipment or need to rent? Not a problem. Kingdom Cycle Tours will make sure you have everything you need, no matter what your experience level, for a safe and fun ride.  The distance covered each day will vary depending on the speed of the group and the great places and stops you make along the way.

Packages start at $625* for a three night stay and tour; $950* for a five night stay and tour; $1250 for a 7 night stay and tour. Contact us to customize and schedule a cycling adventure for you and family or friends.  Confirmation is based on space availability. *When you call inquire about pricing for two people who will share a room.

The Kingdom has some great rivers, lakes, and ponds that afford some memorable paddling experiences. An experienced guide help you discover the perfect spot for you based on your experience level. Over the course of two days you will have time to discover two unique locations. Your experience will determine whether you head out to explore right away or start with the basics of paddling.  For beginners, the guide teaches everything from mounting a craft onto a car to basic safety and paddling. 

Start with a good nights sleep following arrival and begin and end each day at the Estabrook House. After breakfast the guide takes you to the area determined best for the group and the day.  Stops along the way back to the "house" give you time to enjoy an “old favorite” or two in the region. Day 2 you'll be shown a new location and get to discover more of the Kingdom around you from the quiet of your watercraft.  

This package includes a 2 night stay at Estabrook House with complimentary breakfast each morning, packed lunch, 1 optional dinner at the house, 1 or 2 half day rentals of all required paddling equipment and guide services, and a guidebook or map of the area. Not a beginner? Don’t worry. Your guide will work with your experience level. A half day hike along one of the Northeast Kingdom’s mountains provides vistas that change with the season. Having someone show you where the best spots are is worth it. The hikes may be to Burke Mtn, Mt. Pisgah, Mt Hoy, or some other trails that are equally worth the trip. Hikes average 2-4 hours depending on the condition of the group. This package includes a 2 night stay at the Estabrook House with complimentary breakfast each morning, packed lunch, 1 optional dinner at the house, 2 half day hikes with guide services, and a hiking map of the area.  Package price does not include Vermont State Taxes.
