The Estabrook House's location right in St. Johnsbury provides quick and easy access to dining, movies, farmer's market, and shopping any time during your stay. Just .1 miles off the highway, it is easy to get to the house and visit all that the region has to offer.

We will help you find a getaway that is just right for you. Whether it is a museum visit, theater, classical music or, outdoor activities such as biking, birdwatching, flyfishing, rock climbing, white water canoeing, snowshoeing and skiing.

Package prices are per person unless otherwise specified. Please ask about pricing for two people sharing a guest room and packages combining more than one activity or event.

New Year's Eve - 2010 First Night St johnsbury
St. Johnsbury is a fun place to welcome in the New Year. A multitude of music, comedy and magic venues, warm beverages and homecooked meals with a finale of fireworks are all within walking distance of the house. Anyone who has been here for First Night goes away planning to come back each year.
Our "First Night St. J" package includes a 2 night stay for two, two First Night buttons, an appetizer buffet prior to heading out for the night, a sparkling toast after the midnight fireworks, and full breakfast for two each morning.

Hiking the kingdom
A half day hike along one of the Northeast Kingdom’s mountains provides vistas that change with the season. Having someone show you where the best spots are is worth it. The hikes may be to Burke Mtn, Mt. Pisgah, Mt Hoy, or some other trails that are equally worth the trip. Hikes average 2-4 hours depending on the condition of the group. This package includes a 2 night stay at the Estabrook House with complimentary breakfast each morning, packed lunch, 1 optional dinner at the house, 2 half day hikes with guide services, and a hiking map of the area. Paddling the Kingdom
The Kingdom has some great rivers, lakes, and ponds that afford some memorable paddling experiences. An experienced guide help you discover the perfect spot for you based on your experience level. Over the course of two days you will have time to discover two unique locations. Your experience will determine whether you head out to explore right away or start with the basics of paddling. For beginners, the guide teaches everything from mounting a craft onto a car to basic safety and paddling.
Start with a good nights sleep following arrival and begin and end each day at the Estabrook House. After breakfast the guide takes you to the area determined best for the group and the day.  Stops along the way back to the "house" give you time to enjoy an “old favorite” or two in the region. Day 2 you'll be shown a new location and get to discover more of the Kingdom around you from the quiet of your watercraft.
This package includes a 2 night stay at Estabrook House with complimentary breakfast each morning, packed lunch, 1 optional dinner at the house, 1 or 2 half day rentals of all required paddling equipment and guide services, and a guidebook or map of the area. Not a beginner? Don’t worry. Your guide will work with your experience level. Package price is per person based on single occupancy and does not include Vermont State Taxes.
