The Farmer's market is open for the season with baked artisan bread, jams, soaps, as well as fresh produce.  While here allow time to visit our downtown shops that offer visitors and area residents unique items along with the basics. Less than a quarter of a mile off Rte 91 staying at the Estabrook House has easy access for travelers yet is located in a quiet spot within walking distance of the shops, theaters, and museums.  

Burke Mountain'ssecond annual Music Festival is September 13th.  Don't miss a great opportunity to enjoy music while watching the sunset from a Vermont hillside.

Whether you are coming to the area for business, pleasure, or both, the Estabrook House offers you a comfortable room with a cozy bed, comfy robes and a sitting area. The dining room table will be set for you to relax and enjoy a delicious complimentary breakfast buffet that features the "best of" from some of St. Johnsbury's bakeries plus  Estabrook House homemade items that vary according to the day and season.

Take time from your busy schedule to relax or socialize with old and new friends in the living room, the dining room, in front of the fire, or on one of the Victorian porches. If you enjoy more solitary pursuits you can borrow a book from the library or use the wireless internet access.

Done cycling, skiing, hiking, canoeing, golfing, exploring? Relax at the house or walk to shops, movies,  bowling, a gallery, a restaurant, or a town park before calling it a night.

Want to make sure you work out while away? We have day passes available for the Club at Old Mill with  access to a state of the art fitness area with a window wall view of the river and falls - just a 10 minute  (aerobic) walk from the house or a two minute drive.
